The Ahmedabad-based new franchise Gujarat Titans launched their jersey for their debut season, a special event was held on 13th march at Narendra Modi Stadium to reveal Gujarat Titans jersey.
The Ahmedabad-based franchise was successfully bid by CVC Capitals Partners. The franchise retained 3 players ahead of the mega auction (Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill). Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya was named as the skipper of the team.
The franchise held a special event to launch their jersey and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah was invited as the chief guest in their home ground.
Team Captain Hardik Pandya, head coach Ashish Nehra, and other franchise officials were also present at the event, meanwhile 2011 ODI world cup-winning coach Gary Kirsten will take up the responsibility as mentor and Batting coach of the franchise.
The franchise will start their IPL journey by on 28th march by clashing against Lucknow Super Giants which will also play their debut match with Gujarat Titans.
The franchise retained a 3 top class players they are Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill. Later Indian key all-rounder Hardik Pandya was named as the captain of the team.
