Hardik Pandya will miss out on the Ranji Trophy of 2022

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya will miss out on the Ranji Trophy of 2022 for Baroda, starting from 10 February as he still chooses to be on the sidelines. T20 World Cup was the last time when Hardik Pandya played competitive cricket and faced a lot of critics due to bad performance.

since then, he is working on his mistakes to bounce back stronger with this he was out of various international matches like a trip to South Africa and the home series against New Zealand and the West Indies.

Kedar Devdhar is named as captain of the Baroda team and Vishnu Solanki was named as kedar’s deputy, on February 7 Baroda Cricket Association announced a 20-member squad and Hardik Pandya wasn’t on this list however his brother Krunal Pandya made his place.

“Hardik Pandya was injured and a break was given to him to recover completely so that he can continue to serve the Indian cricket team for a long period of time. I believe I will see him play some Ranji Trophy to start with. I expect him to bowl a lot more overs and his body will get stronger.” Ganguly added.

Ranji Trophy which was scheduled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic was rescheduled to begin in January but was postponed due to the third wave of infections across the country.

It will now be organized in two phases the first phase will begin on 10 February till March 15 across various venues in the country then it will take a break during the IPL and resumes from May 30 till June 26.
