After retaining 2 players PBKS entered into the mega auction of the Indian Premier League 2022 with Rs 72 crore.
PBKS spent over Rs 18 crore in retaining just two players from their total cap of Rs 90 crore. PBSK has left with Rs 72 crore for the mega auction of the Indian Premier League 2022. PBKS retained Mayank Agarwal at Rs 12 crore and Arshdeep Singh at Rs 4 crore.
The first buy on the very first day of the mega auction 2022 was Shikhar Dhawan. He will be adding a new dimension to the PBKS franchise batting unit. Shikhar Dhawan picked at Rs 8.25 crore. Kagiso Rabada at Rs 9.25 crore and Jonny Bairstow at Rs 6.75 crore. Rahul Chahar at Rs 5.25 crore, Shahrukh Khan at Rs 9 crore, and Harpreet Brar at Rs 3.80 crore.
PBKS ended the day by signing some uncapped players for a cheap price. With securing the services of Prabhsimran Singh at Rs 60 lakh and Jitesh Sharma with its base price Rs 20 Lakh. On the first day, the very last player bought by Punjab King was Ishan Porel who was picked at Rs 25 lakhs.
On Day 1 PBKS bought 9 players to strengthen their squad for the 15th season of IPL 2022. PBKS left Rs 28.65 crore in their purse to spend on day 2 of the mega auction 2022.
The Day 2 of the ongoing mega auction of the Indian Premier League. The first big buy from PBKS the most expensive player of this franchise was Liam Livingstone the England all-rounder at Rs 11.5 crore. This season he was the most expensive player from overseas.
Odean Smith at Rs 6 crore, Raj Angad Bawa, and Vaibhav Arora acquired at Rs 2 crore. At Rs 50 lakh Sandeep Sharma and Bhanuka Rajapaksa get into the squad. Rishi Dhawan at Rs 55 lakh, Nathan Ellis at Rs 75 lakh, and Benny Howell at Rs 40 lakh.
With the Base prices of Rs 20 lakhs, five players were added to the squad of PBKS. Prerak Mankad, Writtick Chatterjee, Baltej Dhanda, Ansh Patel, and Atharva Taide. A total of 14 players were bought on the 2nd day of the mega auction. Punjab Kings have completed their squad by spending 86.55 crores for the 15th season of the Indian Premier League 2022.
Punjab Kings IPL 2022 bought 25 players in the mega auction of IPL 2022 out of which 18 players are Indian and 7 players are overseas.
The Punjab King’s purse remaining Value of IPL 2022 was Rs 3.45 crore, after acquiring 25 players.
