RCB franchise kick-started their day to the mega auction of IPL 2022 with the remaining purse of Rs 57 crore after retaining three outstanding players for the franchise. At the venue of the mega auction in Bengaluru, the RCB franchise was on their hunt for the successor of Kohli on Day 2 of the mega auction as the former captain Virat Kohli will be stepped down as a captain in the 15^th season of IPL 2022.

The major signings by the RCB in the mega auction day 1. By signing the former CSK opener Faf du Plessis at Rs 7 crore RCB strengthened their core team and they have also roped the former CSK and Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood at Rs 7.75 crore. Harshal Patel the all-rounder has been recruited at Rs 10.75 crore on the first day and will be rejoining Kohli’s starrer side, he has emerged as the breakout star of the Bangalore franchise.

For this 15^th edition of the world-famous T20 league RCB also bought their old player Wanindu Hasaranga at Rs 10 crore and Dinesh Karthik at Rs 5.50 crore. This year RCB failed to buy their old players Washington Sundar and Devdutt Padikkal at the mega auction. They have also bought the Indian bowler Akash Deep at Rs 20 lakhs, the Indian wicket-keeper Anuj Rawat at Rs 3.40 crore, and the All-rounder Shahbaz Ahmad at 2.40 crore. The purse that remained for Day 2 of the mega auction of the Indian Premier League 2022 for the Royal Challenger’s Bangalore was Rs 9.25 crore. And the RCB have bought only 8 players on day one of the mega auction of IPL 2022.

RCB made a great entry by buying Finn Allen at Rs 80 lakhs, Luvnith Sisodia at Rs 20 lakhs, Jason Behrendorff at Rs 75 lakh, Chama Milind at Rs 25 lakhs, Karn Sharma at his base price of Rs 50 lakhs, Siddarth Kaul at Rs 75 lakhs, Mahipal Lomror at Rs 95 lakhs, Sherfane Rutherford at Rs 1 crore, Suyash Prabhudessai at Rs 30 lakhs, Aneeshwar Gautam at Rs 20 lakhs, and by buying David Willey the final leg of the accelerated auction at his base price of Rs 2 crore RCB ends their buying list.
