AB de Villiers is all set to Return to RCB

Former South African Skipper and world-class batter AB de Villiers. Announced retirement from all formats of cricket after IPL 2021. However, his loyalty towards RCB pulled him to make comeback to the franchise but in a new role.  

RCB has called for a press conference on 12^th March in Bengaluru. RCB unbox is the name of this event given by the franchise.

According to the sources the former Skipper of the team Virat Kohli requested his friend de Villiers to join the team as a mentor after Virat stepped down as captain.

AB de Villiers is one of the best batters in IPL history. He was the backbone of Royal Challengers Bangalore since he joined the team in 2011. He single-handedly saved RCB in crucial matches. AB de Villiers scored 131 runs in 15 matches in the previous season. With two half-centuries and a strike rate of 148.34.

Overall in his IPL journey, he has scored 5,162 runs in 184 matches at an average of 39.7 and a strike rate of 151.68. He has scored 3 centuries and 46 half-centuries.
